not much has been happening. i've been working. wasting my life away when i'm not working. then going back to work. yesterday, i went to mcdonalds with my mom for dinner. on the way back, we dropped by dollar general and i grabbed 3 bags of blue raspberry sour patch kids. dollar general has this dumbass deal where you can buy two bags and get a third one for free. i always take up that deal. nobody really wants three bags of sour patch kids, but a deal's a deal, you know?
i'm slipping back into my interest in watching stuff. i don't really have any motivation or ideas to draw, and there aint shit else to do, so i'm trying to watch movies again, i guess. the other night, i watched the human centipede. it was pretty good. really, really overhyped. i wasn't phased by the grossness of the whole human centipede concept. i guess i'm just a bit desensitized to the thought because of pop culture. the movie didn't really hammer on gore much, which was nice. it was more psychological, to me at least. the main surgeon guy was a very interesting character. it was fun seeing how the centipede victims operated in their situation.
by my mom's suggestion, i watched a semi-obscure film called august underground tonight. it was incredibly, horrifically, terrifyingly boring. i was not interested in what was going on at all. it's very amature and the purposeful shit quality kind of pulls me out of the movie even more. there's little to no action, and the initial shock of seeing what they did to their victims is cool and all, but they don't really harm them once the camera is on. i find that totally boring. i don't know, i was just really unfazed by the entire thing. mom said it was more strange/weird than anything, which holds true. she told me to watch american guinea pig next. i'll be back with my review on that next.
1 am.
i just finished american guinea pig. it was definitely more interesting than august underground. definitely a sort of meh movie though. the gore was top tier, they didn't shy away from showing the nasty stuff. i really liked those really gnarly parts. but it's pretty emotionless and with the girls being paralyzed, it's not very interesting. i would have preferred if the girls were moving and resisting and whatnot. guess that's kind of fucked up to say but it's the truth. it was kind of boring just watching them mutilate the girls. i only found myself enthralled by the close-ups of gore and when they zoomed in on it. but other than that, it's an emotionless snoozefest. it picks up what slack august underground had, but then falters on everything else. august underground had lots of personality and story but american guinea pig is just soulless gore porn. not my thing. i think i'm going to go through this website sometime, though, and find some highly rated stuff. i'd be interested to find some fucked up movies that have a plot and good effects.
after scrolling through the snuff tab, NOT looking for real shit and only expecting FAKE things done for FILM, i found a video that's... apparently full of real stuff. i haven't watched it obviously. my curiosity is being held back by the fact the comments are reporting there's a video of a cat, but sheesh. comments are pretty split between people that think this is good stuff that isn't for the snowflakes, and people that think this is horrible and shouldn't be on the site. honestly, i don't think it should be on here on the clear web at all. real footage is allowed under the pretense that it's for a documentary or something, but i don't think this stuff should be allowed period. pretty fucked up!
