7/22/23, 6 pm.

today was a pretty interesting day. last night, i fell asleep at about around early 11 pm and i woke up periodically throughout the morning. i usually do that. i don't have the joy of sleeping in peacefully. but i wanted to be up kind of early anyway. you see, on ebay, i was trying to win an auction for these guitar picks. they're simple white ones, two separate auctions. they both ended at 10 am so i had to be up bright and early. the first one has a print with the AL-TV logo on it. the second one says "WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC on it in al's favorite font. i'm not sure what font that is, i might have to research that. i just recognize it. anyway, i won both. i max-bid about $15-$17 on both. i won them for, respectively, $6.50 and $5.50. pretty awesome. i had previously assumed these auctions ended so early because they wanted to ship the picks out before the post office closed but, i guess not.
after that, i got up and got ready at about 11 am. grandpa was supposed to pick me up at noon. i ate a popsicle and got dressed in all pink. my shirt is from ROMWE, although i actually bought it from trader bakers. it's a pink sweater (too short at the sleeves) with a black and white (and pink) anime girl sewn within the fabric on the front. the girl is obviously supposed to resemble misa from death note, but it isn't her for copyright infringement reasons or something. my pants are from shein. they are mostly black with white and pink and black designs all over them. skulls, stars, letters, y'know. the fabric feels like shit but it's a cool looking pair of pants. i wore my red, blue, yellow, and white sneakers i got off of temu instead of these pink heels i planned to wear. i also brought along a pink bag that had a picture on it of barbie.
why all the pink, you ask? well, if that bag didn't give it away, i was going out with my sisters and grandpa to see barbie! and we did see it. we went to go watch it at the AMC theatre. we had to drive a while to get there. my airpod case is still broken, so i've been music-less the entire time. i'm probably going to die very soon.
before the movie, one of the previews was the second trolls band together trailer. i recorded it and it made the trolls community very happy. the movie itself was fantastic. i almost cried several times, and did cry towards the end. it's a masterpiece, and an intelligent commentary on patriarchy, toxic masculinity, the oppression of women, life as a woman, and a feministic work of art as a whole. i expected nothing less from a barbie film, but it still brought me to tears. it also had some elements where it touched on the relationship of mothers and daughters. that fucked me up hard.
after the movie, we went to a shoe store and bought some new kicks for the school year. we go back on the 9th. i got these black pumas. and then after that, we went to ponderosa and i started to have cramps so i regretfully didn't eat a lot. i'm wishing i ate more now, but whatever. after that, he drove me to the walmart so i could buy a pair of wired earbuds. i already have an adapter, but since my airpod case is BROKEN!!!, i have to resort to the good ol' days. (right before school, too...) we got some ice cream at the local ice cream store and then grandpa brought me back home and took the twins to our aunt's, taylor.
i had a package waiting for me. it was a bunch of shit from this guy named vincent who's currently selling his entire weird al collection on ebay. i've gotten a lot of stuff from him so far. today, i got the straight outta lynwood promo vinyl, a booklet for the monkees' 1987 tour(which had two pages dedicated to al, since he was opening for them), and a ridiculously self-indulgent ill-advised vanity tour record mat. i was pleasantly surprised to see that vincent threw in a freebie for me: a weird al flash drive! it's available on his store and vincent had it up for bidding twice, but nobody wanted it. so he gave it to me! what a guy.
now, i'm home. i had another popsicle and now i'm writing this blog entry. the site, currently, is not finished at all, but you gotta start somewhere, right? damn, those chickens are annoying.
